The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is extremely grateful for every donation we receive. This amazing support from the community allows us to offer 9 Pay-What-You-Will Shows and 8 shows that are free to any student with a valid ID. That makes ½ of our shows each season accessible to anyone in Edmonton! It also enables us to have the lowest ticket prices in the city!
Our fundraisers are another way that you can support The Freewill Shakespeare Festival. Read on to find out more about how you can help!
Battle for the Limelight: An Amazing Race Fundraiser (September 2014)
Pledge to support the Freewill Shakespeare Festival team in this year’s Battle for the Limelight fundraiser (presented by Northern Lights Theatre). Show your support as our team battles against other theatre lovers and artists from around Edmonton.
Blow the Roof Off Benefit Concert (January 17, 2015)
The Free Will Players are devastated today to learn of the demise of the Roxy Theatre, home to Edmonton’s 40-years-strong company, Theatre Network. As friends, fans, and sometime partners with the artists and staff at Theatre Network, the Players have decided to share the proceeds of our Blow the Roof Off concert with Theatre Network. We know what it’s like to lose a venue, and Network’s team supported us when disaster struck our home in Hawrelak Park last year. We stand in solidarity with Theatre Network, and extend our hearts to them.
The Talent – The siren songs of Cayley Thomas as well as an epic Poetry Slam session followed by a rousing DJ!
The Fun – Drinks! Entertainment! Dancing! More drinks!
