Rain or Shine

“Thus sometimes hath the brightest day a cloud;
And after summer evermore succeeds
Barren winter, with his wrathful nipping cold:
So cares and joys abound, as seasons fleet.”
- Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester // King Henry VI, Part II // Act II, Scene iv

Wet pantaloons and petticoats are the absolute worst! Luckily, the Heritage Amphitheatre provides shelter from both sun and rain. Unless the weather is reaching The Tempest, Twelfth Night, or King Lear proportions, you’ll still have a fun and dry theatre experience. Be warned that sometimes Mother Nature likes to provide lighting or sound effects!

We encourage that you bring a picnic basket, a blanket for those chilly days and evenings, and your sense of wonder. No pets or outside alcohol are allowed inside Hawrelak Park, but you can buy beer and popcorn to snack on during the play.

You can check the day’s weather here or contact us at info@freewillshakespeare.com if you have any questions.
